The Rotary Club of Rochester combined with the District Rotary Club of Minnesota has made it possible to ship a container of medical equipment, supplies and furnishings at an estimated worth exceeding $750,000 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa. This grant makes it possible to extend the reach of Africa Partners Medical (APM) beyond just the education of medical professionals to include providing what they need to apply their learning in the saving of lives. This is the second largest hospital in Ghana and is a primary referral hospital . KATH is also accredited as a teaching hospital for the training by West African College of Surgeons in surgery.

The Rotary Club of Rochester is a new and welcomed partner for the Africa Partners Medical, Olmsted Outreach in the effort to prevent needless death. As an organization of business and professional leaders, they seek to provide humanitarian leadership and support locally, worldwide and beyond.
