Cardiac Life Support Workshop Descriptions


Basic Life Support (BLS)

Adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), adult/child and infant obstructed airway, basic airway management, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Time will include videos, lecture and hands-on participation. American Heart Association certification is offered in this course.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Primary Skills

Adult resuscitation concepts including patient assessment, electrical therapy, airway management, and ECG interpretation. Time will include videos, lecture and hands-on participation. Certification is not offered in this course.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Algorithms

An in-depth workshop which includes an overview of emergent cardiac treatment algorithms and hands-on participation using the bradycardia, tachycardia, and pulseless arrest algorithms. Time will include videos, lecture and hands-on participation. Certification is not offered in this course.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Pediatric resuscitation concepts including vascular access, shock management, cardiac management and airway management. Time will include videos, lecture and hands-on participation. Certification is not offered in this course.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Neonatal resuscitation concepts. Time will include videos, lecture and hands-on participation. Certification is not offered in this course.
