This conference has truly been Godsend. Everything from the location to the lectures and sessions was top notch
I really want to say a big thank you to the donors and organisers for such a wonderful experience (Comfortable rooms, food available on time, quality service). I was really impressed and I want to say they should keep up with the good work
Thank you for all your donations that have made access to this conference affordable for us. I am eternally grateful as it has added so much value to my life. God bless you!
This has been a great learning and networking experience. The importance of this on my self and career development cannot be over emphasized. Thank you
It’s a an extraordinary gift of medical updates and experiences. God bless.
Thank you so much for this experience once again. It was insightful and relaxing at the same time. This would not have been possible if not for your benevolence so thank you!
I’m very grateful for the opportunity to learn and update my skills. God bless you all
I’m grateful to our donors for sponsoring this educational event allowing us to learn and benefit in order to help our patients in our respective communities.
We love you all and we pray APM conferences continue every year
It was a great experience. I’m very grateful I got to participate and I hope to get another chance to attend in the future.
Your support for this conference ensures that yearly, a 100 young healthcare professionals get to be built up professionally with the very best of ideals and training. Thank you!
I want to propose that the next conference should be held at the same venue. As someone who is always on duty, the atmosphere and scenery was very relaxing and exciting. I got to know about the conference after the deadline, i initially thought i wouldn’t be accepted. I’m grateful for giving me that opportunity. So far this has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. As a midwife and a Clinical Research Nurse here in Ghana, no one would teach you intubation, but i got that training from this conference. I also love how all the facilitators were devoted and passionate about the conference
It was absolutely an amazing experience I’ve had, however, wish it could be extended to at least 4-5 days
Now, i pay more attention to the needs of my clients and communicate effectively to both my clients and other team members
To consider every health care professional as a better contributor to health care in my part of the world. “everybody’s role is important”
I will interact with patients not as mere cases but as human beings, as people’s relatives
I (plan to) teach both locals and healthcare staff in my facility on basic live saving skills such as BLS
I have learnt how to be more empathetic towards my patients. I will be teaching my colleagues BLS on our next hospital durber
I have been inspired by colleagues from all over (and its amazing to think, it appears there’s probably a special selection to hand pick just the right people ), am awestruck each period by seniors and the faculty , who are very much easily approachable, down to earth, warm and ever ready to lend a helping hand, and its humbling and keeps me coming for more since the team i already see to be doing an excellent job, is always looking out for opportunities to make their delivery better, this opens my eyes to making it a point to seek for feedback to also better whatever i get engaged in
I have also come to embrace the conference period as a time away from the hectic monotony of work and glad i was able to get some colleagues to join this year and will continue to do so, as they also expressed similar sentiments
The hands-on practical session eg. the BLS Training session was very impactful for me especially since upon starting residency, my colleagues and i got to know there is a station for resuscitation during our final residency exams and even within our line of work, need for such skills is very relevant and one needs it to be on their feet and deliver. It was amazing to have topped that up with intubation as well this year

Yaw reported that the basic life support/CPR training he received in 2018 “changed a lot of things.” He used to think that once you got to the resuscitation stage the patient was “going to see your ancestor” (i.e. going to die). After learning basic life support he was able to successfully resuscitate a patient on his very next shift. He also rule learned about team work and is planning a project regarding earlier blood pressure screening and Education to identify patients with hypertension.
“Last year, our Trainee Hygienist, Ms. Hannah Fianu, attended the APM program for newly qualified nurses at Hepzibah. It looks like the training had a great impact on her and that has impacted our dental clinic, as well.
On her own initiative, Hannah has developed a protocol for managing unconscious patients at the dental clinic and she is training all the staff on the use of this protocol. She has also developed a training program for common emergencies in a dental clinic and how to manage such emergencies. Over the last two weeks, she arranged for APMG to organize training for all the staff at our clinic.
We are most grateful to the APM and APMG for your help in the training of our first hygienist.”
“I just want to take a little time off to say thank you for all the work you put in to make the Young Doctors’ Conference happen. At this conference, I learned so much about giving back to my community, and practical ways to practice quality and compassionate healthcare where I find myself. So I would like to thank you and your colleagues for the time, effort, knowledge and resources invested in us. With God’s help, we will not lay waste this investment. ”
